Daily Schedule: This list is intended to give a general flow for each day. Specifics vary as the presenters are scheduled and are dependent on opportunities that may come up without advanced notice. Presenters will share their experiences, hopes, and views of life on the reservation. We will explore how history impacts contemporary life. There will be opportunities to discuss the Wounded Knee Massacre of 1890, generational trauma and how these historical events are part of daily life here on Pine Ridge.
Some of the historical sites that may be visited include: Red Cloud Indian School, Wounded Knee, Oglala Lakota College, Lakota Fund, and Thunder Valley. We will attend worship if your visit includes a Sunday.
Some visiting groups will assist with Kids' Time weekday afternoons. Other community service projects vary and are dependent on the skill set of the visiting team. Visitors will be working along side of the Lutheran/Lakota Job Corps. There is an additional fee associated with these projects.
