Keeping Cool

As summer temperatures rise in Pine Ridge, the center has extended its hours for the homeless shelter. Collaborating with Abram and Iglutheca, clients are now able to stay inside the center until 8:00 PM.

Many homeless individuals lack a safe place to stay cool. This weekend, another Heat Advisory is in effect, with temperatures expected to exceed 105 degrees on Saturday and Sunday.

At the center, they can safely cool down, shower, have a meal, and work on finding a way out of homelessness.

Thanks to the staff of both the center and the shelter, people are kept safe.
